General Leasing Questions
Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that all of our apartments come fully furnished, at no additional charge. You are welcome to move the furniture around to best suit your preferences. Furniture may be removed at the request of the resident, however choosing to remove pieces of furniture will not change or decrease rental rates.
Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Yes! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone. Visit Unionon6th.com and click the “Resident Login” button. There is a 3 – 5 percent convenience fee to make payments with credit card, or $1.50 fee for eCheck.
What if I need to cancel my lease?
Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease or for finding a replacement.
If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
Union On 6th does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!
Do you allow pets?
Union On 6th is a pet friendly community! No more than two animals are permitted each apartment.
How do I set up the Internet?
We have highspeed Wi-Fi within our community. However, you can also set up Internet using an Ethernet cable.
Are there roommate matching services?
We do not provide roommate matching. Therefore, you will be responsible for finding your roommates.
How close to the University of Arizona campus are you?
We are located 0.8 miles from the university.
How close to downtown are you?
Step out your front door at Union on 6th, and you are downtown! We’re located in the Historic 4th Avenue Entertainment District of Tucson. You can enjoy shopping, coffee, dining, and entertainment just steps from your door.
How close to the airport are you?
We are located just 17 minutes from the Tucson International Airport.
How many people live there?
Every year the total number varies just slightly, but we have room for 410 residents.
If I am over 21 do I need a guarantor?
A guarantor is typically required for all leases. However, if an approved guarantor cannot be obtained, the applicant must pay a security deposit in the amount of one and a half times the monthly installment or proof of income equal to or greater than two and a half times the monthly installment.
Is parking available?
We have garage parking; spaces are limited as there are only 150 spaces and are $150/mo. per space.
What is the cost?

What size are the beds?
Our beds are full-size, extra-long. We suggest you bring queen-sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for “special” sized sheets.
What types of leases are available?
We offer 12 month installment leases.
What utilities are included in my rent?
Our rental package covers high-speed internet, water, sewer, trash. The resident is responsible for electric and gas.
When can I move in?
For Fall 2022 future residents, Move In Day is August 19th, 2022.
Is a security deposit required for my lease?
If you do not have an approved guarantor, you must pay a security deposit within 48 hours of signing your lease.
When is my first payment due?
Fall 2022 future residents must pay their first month’s installment by August 1st, 2022.
Will you send me a bill each month for my rent?
We do not send any type of invoice for rent. However, rent is due at the first of the month and is considered late on the 3rd.
