General Leasing Questions

How do our rates compare to other housing rates?

Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities. When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that all of our apartments come fully furnished, at no additional charge. You are welcome to move the furniture around to best suit your preferences. Furniture may be removed at the request of the resident, however choosing to remove pieces of furniture will not change or decrease rental rates.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Yes! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone. Visit Unionon6th.com and click the “Resident Login” button. There is a 3 – 5 percent convenience fee to make payments with credit card, or $1.50 fee for eCheck.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease or for finding a replacement.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Union On 6th does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

Do you allow pets?

Union On 6th is a pet friendly community! No more than two animals are permitted each apartment.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have internet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide WiFi.

Do you have a roommate matching system?

Roommates can be matched in a couple different ways – either you tell us who you want to live with, or if you don’t have roommates in mind, you can attempt to be matched through RoomSync. Please reach out to the leasing office for more information.

How close to the University of Arizona campus are you?

We are located 0.8 miles from the university.

How close to downtown are you?

Step out your front door at Union on 6th, and you are downtown! We’re located in the Historic 4th Avenue Entertainment District of Tucson. You can enjoy shopping, coffee, dining, and entertainment just steps from your door.

How close to the airport are you?

We are located just 17 minutes from the Tucson International Airport.

How many people live there?

Every year the total number varies just slightly, but we have room for 410 residents.

If I am over 21 do I need a guarantor?

All leases are required to have a guarantor. If an approved guarantor cannot be obtained, Union On 6th will accept a security deposit in the amount of 1.5x the monthly installment.

Is parking available?

We have garage parking; spaces are limited as there are only 150 spaces and are $90/mo. per space.

What is the cost?

What size are the beds?

Our beds are full-size, extra-long. We suggest you bring queen-sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for “special” sized sheets.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 month installment leases.

What utilities are included in my rent?

Our rental package covers high-speed internet, water, sewer, trash. The resident is responsible for electric and gas.

When can I move in?

Apartments are available for move in on August 19, 2021.

When do I put down a deposit?

If you do not have an approved guarantor, you must pay a deposit within 14 days of signing your lease.

When is my first payment due?

Fall 2021 residents will need to pay their first month’s installment by August 01, 2021.

Will you send me a bill each month for my rent?

We do not send any type of invoice for rent. However, rent is due at the first of the month and is considered late on the 3rd.
